Please remember that Accident and Emergency is for urgent life threatening conditions and severe injuries only. If your problem isn’t life threatening then it is best to call the Out of Hours provider on 111.

NHS111 is a 24-hour confidential helpline. You can telephone for advice if you are feeling ill and are unsure what to do, or for health advice on particular health conditions e.g. diabetes or allergies. They can also help you find your nearest pharmacist or dentist. You can call anytime night or day.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
